Barbara L. Ward

Barbara L. Ward, 73, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away on February 23, 2021, at University of Missouri Hospital. Barbara was born October 12, 1947, to George and Thelma (Neal) Noel in Columbia, Missouri. She was united in marriage with Jr. Ward in 1966, later divorced but remained close. She was a member of the Christian Church in Huntsville, and also attended the Huntsville United Methodist Church. Barbara was a very creative person and had many talents. She loved to draw, decorate, and play pool. She was a dancer and loved to sing and do karaoke. She was a writer and most importantly a dedicated mother and grandmother. She was adored by all her children's friend and was a mom to everyone. She was preceded in death by her parents; sisters: Jean Schulze and Beth Noel; brother, Georgie Noel; and father-in-law, Mont Ward. Survivors include her daughters: Missy (Steven) Beyers of Winona, Minnesota, Mindy Brady of Columbia, Missouri, Becky (Kofi) Ward-Afeto of Moberly, Missouri, and Regan (Tad) Thomas of Louisville, Kentucky; brothers: Pete Noel of Moberly, Missouri, and David Noel of Columbia, Missouri; sisters: Joanne (Bob) Braddish of O'Fallon, Missouri, and Polly (Mike) Linneman of Branson, Missouri; former husband, Jr. Ward; grandchildren: Logan, Jonah, Mariah, Delaney, Daly, Isaiah, Charlotte, Dillon, Sam, Lucy, and Grace; great-grandchildren: Kayden and Leland. Cremation has been accorded by Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly, Missouri. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. at The Lodge at Rothwell Park, Moberly, Missouri. A gathering time will start at 1:00 and will commence after services until 4:00 p.m. In Lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the American Lung Association or Westran Scholarship Fund.
