Clarence Ames

Clarence Ames, 68, of Moberly passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. Clarence was born January 26, 1949 to John Edward and Maggie (Garrett) Ames. On June 30, 1978 he married Karen Gravitt, they just celebrated their 39th wedding anniversary together. He worked as a custodian for the Moberly School District for more than 20 years. He was a member of Family Life Fellowship. Clarence enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. Clarence was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters. Survivors include his wife, Karen Ames of Moberly, Missouri; daughter, Tina Ames of Hannibal; brothers: Terry Ames and wife Sharon, Hoot Ames, and John Ames all of Moberly, Missouri; sisters, Bonita Campbell of Moberly, Missouri, Barbara Carden of Moberly, Missouri, Mary Phelps of Hannibal, Missouri and Frances Phelps of Center, Missouri; 7 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday, August 7, 2017 from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. at Family Life Fellowship 1614 Hwy 24 E, Moberly, Missouri. Funeral Service will take place at 3:00 p.m. following the visitation under the direction of Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly.
