John Craig Buckman

John “Craig” Buckman, 66, of Huntsville, Missouri, passed away on June 20, 2018, at Boone Hospital, Columbia, Missouri. Craig was born to Charles Joseph and Wanda Lee (Bevell) Buckman on November 17, 1951, in Hannibal, Missouri. He and Edith Sumpter were married on April 10, 1981. Craig liked collecting pocket knives and beer steins. He always had a joke and enjoyed teasing people. He was a very hard and dedicated worker. Craig was employed by AB Chance Co. in Centralia for 45 years before retiring in July of 2017. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Phillip Buckman. Craig’s survivors include his wife, Edith Buckman of Huntsville, Missouri; sons: Kevin (Jill) Huntsman of St. Joseph, Missouri, Kyle (Lisa) Huntsman of St. Peters, Missouri, and Brian Buckman of Warrensburg, Missouri; brothers: Roger (Jerene) of Jefferson City, Missouri and Pat Buckman of Sparks, Missouri; sisters: Marian Jean (Jene) Abbott of Quincy, Illinois, Susan (Bob) Sanders of England, and Gerri (Cecil) Moore of Hallsville, Missouri; grandchildren: Hannah, Alex and Anna; great-grandchild, Gage Huntsman. A visitation will be held on Thursday, June 21, 2018, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, June 22, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Brad Fuemmeler officiating. Burial will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri with Military Honors.
