Kellie Ann McConnell

Kellie Ann McConnell, 61, of Huntsville, Missouri, passed away on September 2, 2021, at her home with her family by her side. Kellie was born March 15, 1960, in Moberly, Missouri, to Douglas and Betty (Ames) Heaston. She was a very dedicated and hard worker and worked for Chariton Park as a nurse’s aide for 18 years. She loved to fish and most importantly loved to spend time with her kids and grandkids. Kellie was preceded in death by her parents; brothers: Darrin Heaston, Douglas Heaston, Ralph Heaston and Donald Jean Heaston; and brother-in-law, Leslie Pennington. Survivors include her husband, Lester McConnell of Huntsville, Missouri; son, Lester “Pete” McConnell (Amber) of Moberly, Missouri; daughter, Leslie (John) Wales of Huntsville, Missouri; brothers: Steve (Sharon) Heaston of Moberly, Missouri, and Carl Heaston of Vandalia, Missouri; sisters: Margaret (Leonard) Welch of West Plains, Missouri, Jolietta Heaston of Columbia, Missouri, Betty Pennington of Moberly, Missouri, Opal Nickerson of Moberly, Missouri, Dorothy Colbert of Vandalia, Missouri, and Mardell (Tony) Rippel of Moberly, Missouri; sister-in-law, Diana Heaston of Moberly, Missouri; grandchildren: Aurora McConnell, Kyra Wales, Alex McConnell, Lacey Wales, Matthew McConnell, and Alyssa Wales; great-grandchild, Jaxson Ford; as well as several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Monday, September 6, 2021, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly, Missouri. Funeral service will take place on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery, Moberly, Missouri.
