Lawrence Logan

d. July 23, 2021

Lawrence Eldon Logan, 79 of Moberly, went home to sing with his Savior July 23, 2021 at the University of Missouri Hospital after a brief illness. Eldon was born October 15, 1941 in Hurley, MO to Lawrence and Gladys Logan (Tharp). Eldon graduated from Hurley High School and later from Oklahoma University Technical School, Deans Honor Roll, and later at Memphis Tennessee School of Advanced Jewelry Repair. Eldon then used his talents as a Jeweler/Watchmaker for 43 years, and as a Manager/Owner in the Jewelry business at three different cities during his career. Eldon married Martha “Sharlene” Maxwell on August 4, 1961 in Union City Community Church and shared 59 wonderful years together. Eldon continued to serve in each community by being president of the Lions Clubs and Downtown Merchant Associations, as well Board Member in the churches of all three communities. He served 12 years on the Missouri Jewelers Association and State Delegate to the American Watchmakers Association. He was a proud member of the First Assembly of God Church where he served as Teacher/Board member for many years. When he wasn’t serving his community and church, he fully enjoyed hunting, fly fishing, and gardening (and giving from it). Eldon was preceded in death by his parents (Lawrence and Gladys Logan), two sisters (Earnisten Ludwig and Mary Lou Curbow), and a brother (Curtis Ray Logan). Eldon is survived by his wife Sharlene of Moberly, MO; son Mark Logan of Carthage, MO and grandsons Aiden James Logan and Keegan Thomas Logan all of Carthage, MO; extended family and friends. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Moberly, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Building Fund at First Assembly of God Church, 120 W. Outer Road, Moberly, MO 65270. Condolences may be shared online at pathwaymemorial.com.
