Guestbook

It's been many years since I stayed at the Miller Burke House B&B while working for Southwestern Bell Yellow Pages. Margie was such a fun hostess! She treated us like family! Her stories were fun to hear and the laughter we shared was so appreciated. A few years ago, I searched for her after coming across a Midwest Living magazine with her in it. I called her and we updated each other on the years between the dashes. I entered her birthday into my phone; June 23rd...Margie's birthday. Checking to see if she was still in Moberly, I came across her obituary. Margie, I have no doubts the angels are laughing at your stories of adventure! I'm sure your eighty-eight year journey left your family with many wonderful memories. May those now warm their hearts on the days they miss you most. You worked hard all your life...now, rest in peace! With Deepest Sympathy, Nila Ridings Overland Park, Kansas

I met Margie several years ago in Moberly. She was a beautiful, sweet, hardworking lady. When I read of her passing, I felt sadness for her family. Margie will be lovingly remembered by all who knew her.

Dearest Margie, it is hard to believe we only have an alloted time here. You graced us with your smile, if only for a while. I'll always remember your hospitality and kindness you showed to me, my children, and grandchildren. You will be missed greatly as no one can take your place. I am thankful that i had the privledge to share face to face that fond memory with you on a Christmas long ago. Enjoy your rest now, precious lady.
