Mary Irene Ancell

Mary Irene Ancell 84 of Moberly passed away December 31, 2011 at Loma Linda Health Care in Moberly. She was born March 29, 1927 in Cairo to Oscar and Lucille (Taylor) Johnston. Mary worked for the Merchants Hotel and Café. She also worked as a Secretary/ Receptionist for Dr.’s young and Schute, and retired from the Probation and Parole Department in Columbia. She was as member of the First Baptist Church, the Circle at Church and the Moberly Bunco Club. She was a volunteer Grandparent at the South Park School. On August 11, 1946 in Moberly she married Raymond Leonard Ancell and he preceded her in death on July 10, 1996. She is survived by two sons James Ancell of Hannibal and Stephen and Brenda Ancell of Holt Summit; one daughter Judith and Jim Baumann of Huntsville; one brother Robert Johnston of St. Joseph; one sister Creola and Eddie Birge of Junction City, KS; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
