Verna Fay Washam

Verna Fay Washam, 74, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, November 22, 2020, at her home with her family by her side. Verna was born April 25, 1946, in Moberly, Missouri, to Orvel and Marie (Feland) Garner. She married Charles Washam on February 28, 1964. Verna owned her own floral shop for many years, she raised geraniums, and made arrangements with flowers she had dried. She did demos of her work at the State Fair. She later worked in the Walmart floral department for 10 years. She was a member of Jefferson Avenue United Methodist Church and the DAR. Verna was preceded in death by her parents; and sister, Bonnie Walden. Survivors include her husband, Charles Washam of Moberly, Missouri; sons: Jerry (Charity) Washam of Moberly, Missouri, and Jim Washam of Moberly, Missouri; grandchildren: Lydia, Bethany, Amanda and Ethan; her twin sister, Connie (Garland) Lessley of Moberly, Missouri, and their sons, Garland Jr., and his daughter Rachel Anne of Westminster, Colorado, and Anthony and his wife Lori of Arvada, Colorado, and their son, Lane David and daughters: Landyn Anne and Lexi Anne. Cremation has been accorded by Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly, Missouri. No services are scheduled.
