Vivian Wisniewski, 87, of Afton, died Monday, February 17, 2020, at EveryStep Greater Regional Hospice Home in Creston. A Mass of Christian Burial Service will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2020, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Moberly, Mo. Rev. Philip Niekamp will officiate. Burial will be in the St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Moberly, Mo. Visitation with the family to receive friends will be at 10 a.m. Friday, February 21, 2020, at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes 320 South Williams Street, Moberly, Mo. Vivian Jean Wisniewski, daughter of William Dahms and Elma (Benson) Dahms was born July 31, 1932, in Chicago, Ill. Vivian was educated in schools in Roselawn School in Roselawn, Ill. On December 24, 1951, Vivian was united in marriage to Dennis Francis Wisniewski in Chicago, Ill. They settled in Roseland, Ill. Vivian worked as an active homemaker. Following Dennis’s entering the military they moved to Blue Island, Ill. where she worked as a candy striper and homemaker. They later moved to Posen, Ill. and later to Cairo, Mo. In 2002 they moved to Afton, Ia. to be near family. Vivian was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church, St. Pius Catholic Church and St. Edward Catholic Church, she also was a lifetime member of the American Legion Auxiliary, where she was past president and she also was a girl scout leader. Vivian is survived by her six children, Dennis (wife Mary Jo) Wisniewski of Posen, Ill., Kenneth (wife Mary) Wisniewski of Edge Creek, Ill., John (wife Caryle) Wisniewski in Midlothian, Ill., Carol Holste of Afton, Ia., Frances Haynes of Conyers, Ga. and Stella (husband David) Mausehund of Lake Village, Ind.; 18 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Vivian is preceded in death by her parents, husband Dennis Wisniewski in 2003, infant son Donald Wisniewski, four sisters, Melverna Roepkey, June Dahms, Bernice Shefko and Marie Donegan, a brother Clifford Dahms, son-in-law Carl Holste in 2012 and a great-grandson Trevor To send flowers or a memorial gift to the family of Vivian Wisniewski please visit our Sympathy Store.
