Alan Ernest Herzog

Alan was born on April 27, 1953, in Keokuk, IA, to Ernest and Alice (Pfief) Herzog. He graduated from Keokuk Hight School and from Iowa State. He later married Cathy Willis on August 6, 2016, in Keokuk, Iowa.

Alan enjoyed Cardinal’s baseball and collected memorabilia. He was a senator in the Jaycees. Alan also honorably served his country in the United States Navy and was also a member of the Lutheran Church. His friends and family will always remember him as a kindhearted prankster and loved to buy people gifts.

Alan is survived by his wife, Cathy, of Keokuk, IA; step-son, Brian (Linda) Spry and three grandchildren.

Alan was preceded in death by his parent’s sister, first wife, Judy, and his aunt.

A funeral service celebrating Alan’s life has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 25, 2023, at 2 p.m., at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, MO., with full military honors with interment to follow at Huntsville Cemetery, Huntsville, MO. Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Pathway- Millard Family Funeral Chapel.
