Allen D Hudson

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Allen Hudson, loving father and grandfather. Allen passed away on Tuesday May 19, 2026, at his farm outside of Moberly, Missouri.

Allen was born on June 3, 1951, in Geneseo, IL to Duane Hudson and Arlene Jaecques. The family moved to Missouri in 1955. He graduated from Moberly High School and got his Associate of Technology in Machine Tool from Linn Technical College.

He moved to his farm outside of Moberly after college, where he lived and farmed for the remainder of his life. A man of few words, he loved nature and animals and could identify most trees from only a glance. He loved to go fishing, especially with his grandson. Allen loved to joke around and tease others and could find humor in any situation.

Allen is survived by his daughters Sarah (Joe) Ancell of Higbee, Susan Hudson of Cairo, MO, one grandson Robert Hudson of Cairo, brothers David (Kathy) Hudson of Stillwell KS and Bryan (Schila) Hudson of Moberly.

He was preceded in death by his parents Duane and Arlene Hudson of Moberly.

Allen’s life was defined by his love of family, farming and God and will be missed by all those who came to truly know him.

Services will follow at a later date for friends and family. In lieu of flowers instead go plant a tree or hang a bird feeder and think of him when you see a beautiful bird.
