Andrea Thorp

Andrea Diane Thorp, 47, of Moberly passed away Saturday, July 29, 2017 at North Village Park in Moberly, MO. Andie was born October 9, 1969 in Columbia, MO to Robert Joseph Thorp and Beverly Ann Hess Thorp. She lived in Moberly the majority of her life and was a Moberly High School Graduate. Andie was a past member of the VFW and enjoyed going to Carpenter Street Baptist Church before her health made it difficult for her to attend. On May 7, 2005, she married Wayne Swindler and he survives of the home. Andie was a hard worker with a huge heart. She would help anyone in need and her family joked that “she never met a stranger”. Andie had an amazing sense of humor and loved to make people laugh. She was devoted to her family and will be missed terribly by all who loved her. Andie is preceded in death by her father, Robert Thorp; daughter, Sydney Thorp; step-son, Wesley Swindler; sister, Angelia Kitchen and nephews, Garrett Moore and Adam Kitchen. Survivors include her mother, Beverly Thorp of Moberly; husband, Wayne Swindler of Columbia; children, Joshua (Angelia) Thorp and Maddison Thorp all of Fulton; grandchildren, Jax and Adrinna of Fulton; siblings, Robert (Veronica) Thorp of Moberly; Debra (James) Ingram of Louisville, KY and Shawnda (Scott) Komer of Moberly, extended family and many friends. A memorial visitation celebrating Andie’s life will be held on Wednesday, August 2, 2017, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. A gathering of family and friends for fellowship, food and sharing of memories will follow at the VFW from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. on South Morley, Moberly, MO.
