It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Andy Franklin Sunderland, age 50, who left us on December 12, 2025, at the Moberly Regional Medical Center. Born on June 18, 1975, in Columbia, Missouri, to Woodrow and Belinda Gail (Fisher) Sunderland, Andy was a cherished son, brother, father, and friend.
He graduated from Fayette Missouri High School in 1993. Andy dedicated most of his life to Sunderland Trucking, a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to providing for his family.
Known as a gentle giant, Andy possessed the biggest heart and had a unique ability to connect with everyone he met; he truly didn’t know a stranger. His infectious smile and thoughtful "good morning" texts brightened the days of those fortunate enough to know him. If anyone could be said to live life to the fullest, it was Andy. His hobbies included playing pitch with Caleb and Woody, enjoying loud music, and embracing the joys of travel and simple living. Above all, his love for his family and friends was paramount, epitomized by the pride he took in being a grandparent to La'Korra.
Andy leaves behind his beloved family, which includes his father, Woodrow Sunderland, and mother, Belinda Gail Sunderland (Lou and Chey); daughters, Katie Kribbs of Huntsville, MO, Kaley (Austin) Sunderland of Eldon, MO, Maycee (Silas) Boggs of Brumley, MO, and Addisyn (Skyler) Sunderland of Eldon, MO, as well as his son, James (Nevaeh) Boggs of Higbee, MO; granddaughter, La'Korra Lynn Sunderland of Eldon, MO; siblings Crystal (Nathan) Sunderland of Moberly, MO, Caleb and Daylynn Sunderland of Huntsville, MO, and Lee and Amy Taylor of Moberly, MO; along with numerous nieces and nephews: Dylan Frans of Moberly, MO, Clayton Sunderland, Trenton Sunderland, Danian Sunderland, Dayon Sunderland, and Kaylynn (Jo Jo) Sunderland all of Huntsville, MO.
Andy’s friendships also enriched his life deeply. He was a loyal friend to many, including James Marcus, Angel Marcus, David Esry, Bre Esry, Jennifer Sunderland Wamsley, and countless others.
He was preceded in death by his grandpa, Bob Sunderland, Grandma, Donna Sunderland, Wilma Rusher and Floyd Rusher, aunt, Tammy Sunderland, Fishing buddy, Bobby Twyman, and his good friend, Chad Sulltrop.
In memory of Andy, a Celebration of Life will be held on December 21, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the Higbee Lions Club, 506 Grand Avenue, Higbee, Missouri.
Andy will be profoundly missed by all who knew him, and his legacy of kindness, love, and friendship will continue to resonate in the hearts of his family and friends forever.
