Anita Carol Flood

Anita Carol (Ammon) Flood, 79, of Moberly, MO, passed away surrounded by family on November 19, 2022, at Macon Health Care Center, Macon, MO.

Anita was born on February 24, 1943, to Medford and Violet Ammon in Fredericktown, MO. She married Herman J. Flood on January 11, 1976, in Moberly, MO. She was a homemaker, devoted wife, loving mother, and grandmother. 

She enjoyed being married to her adoring husband of 34 years, Herman. She found joy in her many pets throughout the years, playing bingo and spending time with her family and friends. 

Her family and friends will always remember her as a loving wife, sweet mother, and grandmother, very kindhearted and a gentle spirit. During her later years, she resided at and was lovingly cared for by Brook Cherith in Huntsville, MO. She will be dearly missed by the staff and her friends there. 
She is preceded in death by her husband, Herman, on August 9, 2010; parents, grandparents; sisters, Ruth King and Leah Spickerman; and brothers, Walter Ammon and Verne Ammon. 

Anita is survived by her son, Rick (Susan) Scott of Groveland, IL; Cindy Scott of Columbia, MO; Tara (Jason) Smith of Baytown, TX; her sister, Donna Firebaugh of Fredericktown, MO; four grandchildren, Allison and Lydia Scott of Groveland, IL; and Bailey and Olivia Smith of Baytown, TX, along with several nieces and nephews. 

A visitation has been scheduled for Wednesday, November 23, 2022, from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service at Pathway- Millard Family Funeral Chapel. The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 23, 2022, at 1:30 p.m. followed by a burial at Oakland Cemetery, Moberly, MO.
