Barbara Lynne (Osborne) Bogie, 71, of Moberly, MO, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, surrounded by her daughters. Barb was born on November 15, 1953, in Moberly, MO, to Herschel and Marilyn (Mayes) Osborne.

Barb graduated from Moberly High School in 1971. She married her high school sweetheart, Rod Bogie, and together they raised two daughters, Dawn and Kellie, both graduates of Moberly High School. Though no longer together, the two remained on good terms celebrating many years of Christmases and Thanksgivings together with their children and helped organize many years of class of 1971 reunions.

Barb followed the path of her father and older brother and began working for Southwestern Bell Telephone. After high school. She began as a telephone switchboard operator and took night classes at Moberly Area Community College in drafting which eventually led her to a long career as an Outside Plant Engineer. She retired with over thirty years of service to Southwestern Bell. She also served for many years on Moberly’s Planning and Zoning Board.

Barb spent most of her life as a Moberly resident. Her hobbies over the years included many social activities. She was an avid golfer, bowler and dart player. She loved her long walks and talks with friends, and she also loved a good wine stroll. Barb was a great card player and spent many hours of her life playing numerous card games with friends and family. She had a travel bug that took her all over the United States with her girlfriends and she looked forward to every “sib trip” with Wayne, Donna and Teresa.

In her later years, she enjoyed chasing her grandchildren in their athletic journeys and following Harrisburg and Hallsville High School Athletics as well as three of their college athletic journeys at Central Methodist (Track and Field), William Jewell College (Football), and University of Central Missouri (Track and Field). She had a great collection of school T-shirts and was ready to travel at any given moment.

Barb’s family includes: Her two daughters; Dawn (Josh) Stephenson of Harrisburg, MO, and Kellie (Benji) Austene of Hallsville, MO. Her six grandchildren and four great grandchildren; Kelsey (Vince) Debenito and their two sons Aiden and Brock of Harrisburg, Kyla (Bryant) Roberts and their two sons Caden and Easton of Harrisburg, Brayton Stephenson and Jaidyn Stephenson of Harrisburg, MO, AJ Austene and Marissa Austene of Hallsville, MO.

Barb had eight siblings, together they called themselves “The Devine Nine” brother Wayne (Jerry) Osborne of Lubbock, TX, sister Teresa (Eddie) Gilbert of Huntsville, MO, sister Donna (Ricky) Block of Fort Madison, MO, stepsister Khristie Stoecklein of Englewood, FL, step- sister Toni Stoecklein of Englewood, FL, stepbrother Kevin (Ronda) Stoecklein of Moberly, MO, stepbrother Philip Stoecklein of Nashville TN, and stepsister the late Lana (Bill) Hagedorn of Moberly, MO.

A graveside service will be held at Red Top Cemetery in Hallsville, MO, on Friday, November 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m.

A Celebration of Life event will be held on Friday November 14, 2025, from 4:00-10:00 p.m. at the Bierman Events Center located at 214 N Fourth Street, Moberly, MO 65270.

Family and friends are welcome and encouraged to attend. Dinner will be provided at 6:00 p.m.
