Barbara Rose Riddle

Barbara Rose Riddle, known mostly as Nana, was born on January 20, 1953, and went to be with the angels at the age of 72, on November 26, 2025.

She was born in Marshall, MO, to Bob and Shirley Alspach and resided most of her life in Huntsville and Clifton Hill, MO. She was a member of Midway Baptist Church of Marshall, where she married the love of her life, Rolla Mitchel Riddle on July 6, 1990.

Barbara worked a few jobs in her life, but her most rewarding and lifelong job was being Nana. Even if you barely knew her, she would take you in, feed you, and love you like you were her own. She could read a book so fast, gamble the penny slots for as long as possible and bargain shop until she dropped. She was so spunky and sassy, but most of all, caring and loving.

Barb is survived by her husband, Rolla Mitchel Riddle, his children; Lori (Wes) Riddle of Clifton Hill/Salisbury, MO, Amy (Brandon) Riddle of Madison, MO, the lights of her life, her grandchildren; Marissa Riddle of Clifton Hill/Salisbury, MO, Kyle (Jaelin) Winterbower of Huntsville, MO, Ryan Prentzler of Madison, MO, and her great grandbabies; Ellie, Ava and Tidus. She was honorary Nana to many, including; Noah, Lexie (Nathan) Freya, Shylo (Keith) Castiel, Maxlee, Waylynn, Kian, Lennon, Brooke and Kensie. Siblings; Patty (Jay) Baxter and Mike Alspach, sisters in law; Karen Riddle, Vicky (Dan) Pszokna, Jessie, Judy, Julie, and Leeann McSparren, as well as many, many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by all of her angel babies, parents, sister; Judy Hartline, and her mother and father in law; Clifford and Louvina McSparren.

A Celebration of Life luncheon will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Huntsville City Hall located at 205 South Main Street, Huntsville, Missouri, 65259.
