Benjamin William Baker, age 46, of Moberly, MO, passed away at home with his family on April 3, 2026. B was born on April 30, 1979, in Moberly, MO. He attended Higbee High School class of 1997. He moved to Moberly, MO, and accepted a position as a food service worker at Long John Silvers where he worked for more than 8 years. He was a member of Family Life Fellowship Church. He was a terrific father, great family man, and an aspiring author. He married Angela (Tuggle) Baker on March 23, 2004, in Moberly, MO.

B found joy in the simple and meaningful moments of life. He loved immersing himself in movies and was a devoted fan of WWE, always enjoying the excitement and storytelling it brought. He had a passion for video games and board games, often sharing laughter and friendly competition with those around him. B was also an avid collector of comics and treasured his Star Wars memorabilia, holding a special appreciation for the worlds and characters that inspired him. Creativity was a big part of who he was. He loved writing novels, short stories, and poems, using his imagination to bring ideas and emotions to life. Above all, B cherished the time he spent with his family and friends. Whether it was a quiet moment or a shared adventure, those connections meant everything to him. He will be remembered for the joy he brought to others and the memories he created with those he loved.

B’s family and friends will always remember him as a fun-loving man with an enormous sense of humor and a remarkable ability to lighten any situation. He had a true love for life and lived it fully, always bringing laughter and joy to those around him. Above all, B valued his family. Nothing was more important to him. He was a devoted and loving husband, and an even more incredible father. His children were his entire world, and everything he did reflected the deep love he had for them. He will be remembered for the beauty he brought into this world, not only through his presence but through the kindness and warmth he shared so freely. His love and wisdom will live on through his children, carrying forward the best parts of who he was. B’s family and friends will truly miss the deeply caring, loving, and kind man he was, and the happiness and laughter he brought into their lives will never be forgotten.

Benjamin is survived by his wife, Angela (Tuggle) Baker of Moberly, MO; his daughter, Abby McCormick of Kirksville, MO; five sons, Bradley McCormick of Booneville, MO, Logan Baker of Poplar Bluff, MO, William Baker of Huntsville, MO, Jacob Duncan of Moberly, MO, and Aiden Baker of Moberly, MO; Grandchildren, Janelle Burton of Renick, MO, Melody Edjewou of Kirksville, MO, Millie Edjewou of Kirksville, MO, and Cooper McCormick of Booneville, MO; parents, Ben and Donna Baker of Clark, MO, and Rebecca Wright of Moberly, MO; siblings, Angela Baker of Moberly, MO, April (Baker) and Kenny Roberts of Moberly, MO and Brittany (Baker) and Kenny Campbell of Clark, MO.

He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; two uncles, Forrest Wright and Steve Baker; aunt, Lottie (Wilson) Patton; cousin, Kevin Baker; sister, Ashley Nicole Schmit; and nephew, Kyle Eugene Wetzel.

Visitation for Benjamin will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m., at Pathway Millard Family Funeral Chapels, located at 411 Union Ave, Moberly, MO. Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow at the Higbee Cemetery, in Higbee, MO.
