Charles Martin Hunt “Marty”, 77 of Moberly, passed away at his home Wednesday, November 4, 2015. Marty was born April 25, 1938 in Huntsville, MO to John Thomas Hunt and Pauline Martin Hunt. He attended Moberly High School and Moberly Area Community College. He finished his education with a Bachelor’s degree from Truman University in Kirksville. He served in the United States Army from 1961 through 1964. After leaving the Army, he went to work for the General Adjustment Bureau in Quincy, IL. When he returned to Moberly, he went to work for MFA Insurance and also Third Century/Orscheln. He then started his own business, MCM, where he worked as a workmens’ compensation consultant. On May 1, 1999, he married Betty White in Moberly and she survives of the home. Marty was preceded in death by his parents. In addition to his wife Betty, he is survived by his siblings Bob Hunt of Macon, MO, Kenneth Allen Hunt (Kathy) of Meadville; brothers in law and sisters in law Jack White (Donna) of Moberly, Larry White (Lynda) of Moberly, Mary Sue Wilson (Tom) of Huntsville, Wayne White (Alice) of Jacksonville, Shirley Messer (Roger) of Cairo; his children, Brad Hunt (Lisa Freeberg) of Los Angeles, CA, Kevin Hunt of Moberly, Angie Williams (Ryan) of Los Angeles, CA, Kemmie Bennett (Jesse) of Moberly and Shannon Hackett (Trent) of Moberly; grandchildren Brad Martin Hunt and Finten Williams of Los Angeles, CA, Jessica Herrin (Brian), Dustin Edwards, Jevin Hackett and Trey Hackett all of Moberly, and great grand-daughter Arlie Herrin of Moberly. Services celebrating Marty’s life will be held Sunday, November 8, 2015 at 6:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Sunday, November 8, 2015 from 2:00 until time of service. Inurnment will take place Monday, November 9, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. with full military honors at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. Memorial Contributions would be appreciated to the Missouri Heart Institute, 1605 East Broadway, Suite 300, Columbia, MO 65201, Attention Traci.
