Charles Edwin Stallman, 87, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017 at the Boone Hospital in Columbia, Missouri. Charles was born November 15, 1930 to Merle and Louise (Goon) Stallman in Yates, Missouri. He was a graduate of Moberly High School, Moberly Area Community College, and Columbia College. Charles married Mary Lou Wolverton on June 11, 1960 and spent 57 years together. He served in the medical corp of the U.S. NAVY from 1949 until 1952 where he was attached to the U.S. Marine division and served as a medical corpsman during the Korean conflict in Korea. He worked for A.B. Chance Company in Centralia for 45 years before retiring in 1995. Charles was a member of the Randolph County Historical Society. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lou Stallman of Moberly, Missouri; son, Kenton Stallman and wife Vicki of Moberly, Missouri; sister, Sylvia Amos of Salisbury, Missouri; brother-in-law, George Wolverton and wife Sheryl of Prescott Valley, Arizona; nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers: Merle, Jr., Carl, and William. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Richard Clouse officiating at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Burial will follow at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery with full military honors.
