On Thursday, August 8, 2024, while he was sleeping, God called Clinton Nathaniel Drewery, age 40, of Moberly, Missouri, home.
Clinton was born on March 5, 1984, in Columbia, Missouri, to Charles E. and Amealia D. (Taylor) Drewery. He graduated from Moberly Senior High School in 2003. He honorably served his country in the United States Navy from December 15, 2003, until July 14, 2021, finishing his career as a Petty Officer 2nd Class.
He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America and achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Clinton was a social butterfly who was deeply passionate about everything he did. He enjoyed band, Drama Club, Speech and Debate, Spanish Club, tabletop games, card games, video games, and theater.
Clinton’s proudest moment in life was becoming a father to his “mini me” Evangeline (Evie) Drewery. He shared his love of music, Pokémon, video games, stuffed animals and cats—big and little with Evie. His unbridled love of life will live on through her.
His family and friends will always remember the entertainer for his goofiness and free spirit. He never shied away from a stage. Clinton loved playing his trumpet and bugle. He did everything unapologetically with his own style.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents John W. Taylor and Wanda J. Woolridge of Salisbury, MO; grandfather, James H. Drewery of Ft. Meade, FL; and grandmother, Esther L. (Guthrie) Bishop of Moberly, MO.
Clinton is survived by Dad Charles E. Drewery of Moberly, MO; Mom Amealia D. Drewery (Taylor) of Moberly, MO; his daughter Evangeline (Evie) Drewery of Green Acres, WA; brothers Charles W. (Alishia) Drewery of Moberly, MO; Cole A. Drewery of Moberly, MO; Casey E. (Jennifer) Drewery of Moberly, MO; Chance M. (Alexis) Drewery of Columbia, MO; grandmother Dorothy J. Taylor of Moberly, MO; several aunts, uncles, many nieces and nephews; and best friend Carl Northcutt of Colorado.
