Cody Bear Ruggles

Cody Bear Ruggles, age 33, of Macon, Missouri passed away Monday, February 14, 2022, at the Harry S. Truman VA Hospital in Columbia.

Cody was born February 21, 1988, to Kevin Ruggles and Maria Walker in Peoria, Illinois. On December 7, 2011, he married his wife Carrisssa and they began to build a life together. Cody was a true patriot and soldier serving his country in the Army from 2012 to 2014. He was also a connoisseur of food and a chef who enjoyed trying different creations and all cultural styles. Cody was a man of many hats, he was a philosopher, writer, student, teacher, fixer, and carpenter. His various talents and passions made him an all-around good guy.

Cody was a renaissance man in every way, he knew a little about a lot and a lot about a little, but above all he was a father, husband, son, brother, and believer.

He joins his grandmother, Donna Ruggles and his father-in-law, Darwin Blackmore in the halls of heaven.

Cody is survived by his wife, Carrissa of the home; three sons, CJ, Carwyn, and Clark; father, Kevin Ruggles; his mother and step father, Maria and Gary Gose; siblings, Abbey McLouth (Ryan), Luke Ruggles (Rebekah), Brian Gose (Mallory) and Aaron Gose (Stephanie); grandparents, Roger Ruggles and Gladys and Louis Walker; mother-in-law, Cindy Blackmore, as well as many cousins and friends.

Friends will be received from 10:00am to 12:30 pm Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, Missouri. Funeral services being held at 12:30 pm Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel. Interment with full military honors will follow at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, Missouri.
