When he returned from overseas, he went to work for Sydenstricker Implement in Paris and later started a career in banking at the Paris National Bank. Dale returned to the Monroe County area in the late 1980’s and began working at the Madison-Hunnewell Bank. The bank eventually changed ownership and name to Alliant Bank and opened branches in Kirksville, Boonville, Monroe City, Blackwater and Pilot Grove. In 2017 Dale was presented a plaque giving him the title of President Emeritus and Chairman of the Board Emeritus of Alliant Bank. He was described as a man of integrity, a gifted storyteller and a mentor to others. Dale was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in Moberly and served on the Missouri Foundation Board for several years. In 1987 Dale was united in marriage to Cathy Campbell and she survives of the home.
