Delma Ruth Martin

Delma Ruth Martin, 71, of Brookfield, passed away unexpectedly at University Hospital in Columbia, MO on October 23, 2021.

She was born on October 30, 1949 in Fulton, MO to George T. Hull and Ethel Josephine Clapper Hull. Delma Ruth grew up in Holliday, MO, relocated Perry, MO when she married and then moved to Moberly, MO in later years and then to Clarence, MO and finally Brookfield, MO.

Delma Ruth was a homemaker who enjoyed doting on her family. She raised two sons and loved helping with not only their families but with the families of her siblings too. Her grandkids always made her happy and she wanted to spend as much time with them as she could. She like to play Skip Bo, Dice and Rummy. Before her health failed, she loved to drive around, especially to Sonic for cherry limeades with extra cherries. Delma Ruth had a huge heart and a ready smile. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Delma Ruth is preceded in death by her parents, George and Ethel Hull; her son, Richard Seiger; brothers, Joe Hull, Paul Hull and Clifford Hull; sister, Carol Hendren and great granddaughter, Gimma Whitley.

Survivors include her son, Shannon (Krystal Thomas) Seiger of Marceline, MO; grandchildren, Leann Seiger of Clarence, MO, Ashley (Adam) Palmer of Salisbury, MO, Lerena (Larry “Junior”) Hornberger of Madison, MO, Nathan (Vee Ledesma) Seiger of Lemoore, CA, Emalee Seiger of Macon, MO, Destiny Thomas, Matthew Thomas, Brianna Thomas and Stephanie Thomas all of Marceline, MO and Rebekah Edwards of Columbia, MO; great grandchildren, Dane Davis and Addison Davis both of Clarence, MO, Lucas Palmer, Jacob Palmer, Montana Edwards and Raylee Palmer all of Salisbury, MO, Larry Hornberger III, Alan Hornberger, Kylie Hornberger and Olivia Hornberger all of Madison, MO, Xavier Ledesma Seiger and baby Ledesma Seiger (who is on the way) both of Lemoore, CA, Zadyn Edwards of Centralia, MO, Ja’Quavius McDonald of Macon, MO and Lyric, Major and Navy Whitley all of Columbia, MO; brothers, Calvin Hull, Phillip Hull Sr., Ken Hull and Dale Hull all of Moberly; niece, Bobbie Hull of Brookfield, MO, nephew, Phillip (Christina) Hull Jr., of Moberly; great nieces, Jayden Porter-Wagster and Natalie Hedrick both of Brookfield and Paige Hull of Moberly; great nephew, Tristan Hull of Moberly; extended family and friends.

A memorial celebration in Delma Ruth’s honor will be held on November 5, 2021 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the Allendale Community Center, 23 Kehoe St., Moberly, MO
