Dolores June Boggs, age 68, lifelong resident of Higbee, MO, passed peacefully surrounded by family on January 1st, 2024, at Aspire Nursing in Rehab in Moberly, MO. June was born on April 12, 1955, in Osceola, MO to and Laurence Kirke “LK” Beale and Eura Mae (Mackey) Beale and was their third child. She graduated from Higbee R-VIII in 1973.  She moved to Higbee and accepted the position of Brake Lever Assembler at Orscheln Products where she worked for 30 years. She married James Elmer Boggs IV on June 9th, 1973, in Higbee, MO. June was a social, active woman who enjoyed being a member of the Higbee Lions Club for 30 years. She enjoyed cooking, flowers, golf, and watching Higbee basketball. She also enjoyed taking care of her grandchildren, sitting on the porch, watching the hummingbirds, and family get togethers on Sundays. Her family will remember her kind heart, devotion to family, and her delicious cooking. June generally loved life and after getting married in 1973, they moved to Fort Worth, TX where her husband was stationed with the Air Force. In 1976, they moved to Goldsboro, NC where shortly after, her first and only child, James Elmer Boggs V, was born on December 28th, 1978. In 1979, she moved back home to Higbee, MO when her husband was discharged from the military that quite literally took an act of congress. She lived in the Higbee area until her passing.

She Is preceded in death by her mother and father, Eura Mae Beale and Laurence Kirke Beale; her mother and father-in-law, Evelyn Lucille and James Elmer Boggs III; her sister-in-law, Marilyn Beale; her sister-in-law, Trudy Dorman; her brother-in-law, Mark Kirschman.

June is survived by her husband, James E “Boggsie” Boggs IV, of Higbee, MO. Her son, James E Boggs V, of Higbee, MO. Her grandchildren, Isabelle Boggs, of Swansboro, NC; Maycee Boggs, of Lake of the Ozarks; MO James E Boggs VI, of Higbee, MO. Her siblings Barbara Kribbs and husband Charles, of Centralia, MO, Mary Hafemeister and husband Martin, of Salisbury, MO Larry Beale, Clark, MO; Ronald Beale and wife Kathy, Higbee, MO; Rita Lyons and husband Tony, of Higbee, MO; Janet Mealy and husband Bill, of Higbee, MO; Ernie Boggs and wife Tammy, of Higbee, MO; Brenda Dougherty and husband Harry Arthur, of Clark, MO; Delmer "Bo" Boggs, and wife Penny of Moberly, MO; Judy Kirschman of Prairie Home, MO. She is also survived by her many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews.

A funeral service celebrating Dolores's life has been scheduled for 12:00 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2024, at Pathway-Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Moberly, MO. A visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until time of service, with interment at Missouri State Veterans Cemetery, Jacksonville, MO, at 2:00 p.m.
