Dorothy Mae Denney of Centralia Missouri passed away Thursday, July 23, 2020, she was born April 5, 1937, in rural Macon County, Missouri, to James Edward and Bessie Mae Jones Smith. Dorothy Mae Smith married Arno Emerson Denney in 1956, they lived in Missouri then several other states moving for work they then retired and moved back to Missouri and was currently living in Centralia. Dorothy was a homemaker who loved to take care of her family, gardening ,and cooking they enjoy traveling as long as her health allowed. She most of all enjoyed nurturing her family and grandchildren, she was very compassionate to all in need. Survivors include her husband, Arno E. Denney; children: Mike Denney and wife Tara of Huntsville, Missouri, Tim Denney and wife Bunny of Centralia, Missouri, Pat Smothers and husband Noah of Lebanon, Missouri, Karen Denney of Centralia, Missouri, Robin Hammond and husband Darren of Bonaire, Georgia, Donna Bleeckert and husband Ron of St. Louis, Missouri. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; brother, Ron and wife Janet Smith of Excelsior Springs, Missouri. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers: Harold, CL, Bill, and Dale Smith. Visitation with friends and love ones will be held on Monday, July 27, 2020, from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly, with Marcus Blair officiating. Burial will follow in the memorial park cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be directed to Hebron Church. .
