Eddie Harold Bailey, 90, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 31, 2026, at Ravenwood Terrace.

Eddie was born on October 10, 1935, in Des Moines, Iowa, to John Paulin Bailey and Hazel Collins Bailey.

On November 11, 1956, he married the love of his life, Sharon Redmon, in Nashua, Iowa. Together they built a life centered on faith, family, and hard work.

Eddie served his country in the United States Army from May 1958 until May 1964, attaining the rank of Specialist Fourth Class (SP4). Following his military service, he was known for his exceptional work ethic and took great pride in every job he tackled.

He enjoyed hunting, renovating homes, searching for antiques, and spending time with his family. Above all, Eddie was a devoted man of faith who found great joy in studying the Bible and participating in ministry work. His quiet strength, unwavering dedication, and servants’ heart will be fondly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Eddie is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 70 years, Sharon Bailey of Moberly; his son, Timothy Bailey and wife, Gina, of Columbia, Missouri; his daughter, Michaelle Cleeton of Moberly; four grandchildren; four great grandchildren; his brother, Walter Bailey and wife, Mary, of Clark, Missouri, his sisters, Mary Laster of Clark, Missouri, and Kelly Hall and husband, Sam, of Moberly, Missouri; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will cherish his memory.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and five siblings.

A life well lived leaves a lasting legacy, and Eddie’s faith, kindness, and steadfast example will continue to inspire those who were blessed to know him.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at Oakland Cemetery, Moberly, MO.
