Erie Wallace Sr. was born in Hayti, MO on April 17, 1966 and passed October 5, 2018 in Illinois. He was the son of R. B. Wallace and Lois Wallace. Erie was known as Terry by all. He spent most of his life in Columbia, MO and moved to Moberly, MO in 1997 where he resided at time of passing. He married Rita Holley on October 27, 2001. Terry and Rita had two children Terricka and Derieus Wallace. Terry pitched watermelons when he was young in Malden. He worked as a detailer for Head Motor in Columbia, Mo. He also did a lot of construction work and was a mechanic. Terry loved BBQing, cooking, fishing, drinking Bud Light, joking around and helping people. He is preceded in death by his parents; step-son, Andre Minnis; sisters, Jeannette Wallace, Dorothy Wallace, Betty Sue Wallace and Mary Louise Wallace; brothers, J. B. Wallace, Frankie Wallace and R. B. Wallace Jr. and mother-in-law, Barbara Jean Holley Harvey. Survivors include his wife, Rita of Moberly; his children, Erie Wallace Jr. of Columbia, Dynessha Wallace of Columbia, Leo Harris of Moberly, Terricka Wallace of Moberly and Derieus Wallace of Moberly; grandson, DeAnthony Massengale of Columbia; sisters, Julia Parr of Springfield and Betty Jean (Herman)White of Kennett; brothers, Calvin (Angela) Wallace of Jefferson City, Lee Austin of Colorado; father-in-law, Chauncey (Kay) Jackson of Marshall; sisters-in-law, Tammy Holley of Springfield and Janice Wallace of Sikeston; several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles; extended family and many close friends. Services celebrating Terry’s life will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Higbee City Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Memorial contributions are appreciated to Terry’s children c/o Rita Wallace, 1013 Concannon, Moberly, MO 65270.
