Frances “Charlene” White, 91, of Moberly passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at her home at Ravenwood Terrace. Charlene was born in Moberly, Missouri on July 21, 1925 to John and Stella (Dooley) Dent. She and Melvin C. “Pete” White were married in 1946 and were married for 55 years before he preceded her in death. She was a member of Central Christian Church, Moose Lady’s, a member of Beta Sigma Phi, and Randolph County Democrats. Charlene worked as an Operator for Southwestern Bell Telephone for 30 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin C. “Pete” White; brothers: Donald Dent and Jim Dent. Survivors include her doting daughters: Judy Wetrich and husband Ron of Moberly, Missouri, and Susan Staiger and husband David of Moberly, Missouri; granddaughter, Jaime Spotts of Perrysburg, Ohio, as well as a number of nieces, nephews and many, many friends. A Visitation will be held on Monday, October 3, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Funeral Service will take place on Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Million Taylor Funeral Homes with Pastor Mark Tisch officiating. Burial will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery in Moberly, Missouri. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorial contributions be given to: Boone Hospital Foundation, Hospice Compassus, or Moberly Band Boosters.
