Georgia Lee Haworth

Georgia “Gimp” Lee Haworth, 65, passed away November 7, 2023, in Moberly, Missouri, after a short illness with her friend by her bedside.  She was born in Wichita, Kansas, on June 21, 1958, to Lloyd and Jacolin Haworth.  She was blessed with a son, Jeremy Dean Haworth.

Georgia was preceded in death by her parents and her sister Tarrie Haworth.  She is survived by her son, Jeremy Dean Haworth; Cole, her beloved cat of the home; her brother, William “Bill” Haworth; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many close friends.

Georgia enjoyed puzzles, coloring, crocheting, Facebook, music, cats, talking to her friends on the phone, and her favorite….eating chocolate.

Georgia was a spirited whirlwind, who never met a stranger. She was quick with witt. Webster’s definition of witt is intelligence, cleverness, the ability to think quickly.  Georgia was all that and more.  She was always ready to help anyone in need.  She was an overcomer, with a large sassy and sometimes brassy personality all packed in a tiny package.

Georgia’s wish was to be cremated and that wish has been honored.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date at Lawon Missouri Baptist Church where she was a member.
