Gloria Kay Reece, of Jasper Alabama, formerly of Moberly MO, passed away quietly at her sister’s home in Moberly on February 27th, with her family by her bedside. She was born in Moberly on September 12th, 1951, to Paul Edward & Mary Frances (McDonald) Eravi.
Kay met and later married Robert Elmer Reece of Manchester Alabama, on January 31st, 1969. They lived out their lives in Jasper Alabama, and are survived by their two daughters, Belinda Gail (Gator) Waddell of Panama City Beach FL, and Brenda Kay (Billy) Wade of Jasper AL, 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Paul (Connie) Eravi and Daniel (Tina) Eravi, both of Moberly, seven sisters, Billie (Steve) Hulen, of Kansas City MO, Mary Ann Roland of Moberly MO, Geraldine Wolverton of Harker Heights TX, Janet Bradford, Karen (Randy) Hopper, Donna (Michael) Wright, and Carmen Eravi, all of Moberly, as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband, her mother and father, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
She worked in sewing factories, one in Salisbury MO early in her life, then another in Arley Alabama, before later staying home while her husband drove over the road. She enjoyed playing cards, going to Bingo, but mostly spending precious time with her family and friends.
We’ll miss her dearly.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Collins-Burke Funeral Home, 303 Oak Hill Road, in Jasper, Alabama. The family will hold a local private memorial at a later date.
