Jackie Lee “Jack” Kitchen, 70, of Moberly, passed away October 14, 2017 at his home. Jack was born December 13, 1946 in Moberly, MO to Ralph Kitchen and Betty Mayfield Kitchen. He was a lifelong resident of Moberly and a member of the West Park United Methodist Church. Jack worked for the railroad for many years and he worked for Everlast before his retirement. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, rodeos, horse-back riding, reading and meeting friends for breakfast at local restaurants. He will be missed by many. Those preceding Jack in death are his parents; step-mother, Ethelyn Kitchen; an infant sister, Sheila Kitchen; sister, Brenda Renee Rice and infant son, James Lee Kitchen. Survivors include his daughters, Karen Terrell and Cheryl Kitchen both of Moberly, MO; beloved grandchildren, Cassidy Mangus, David Terrell, Kalynn Kitchen and Kyler Macomber all of Moberly, MO; siblings, Judy Robinson of Independence, MO, Danny (Anna) Perkins Destraham, LA, Susan Gully of Huntsville, MO, Debbie Eisenhofer of Higbee, MO, Stephen Barger of Clifton Hill, MO, Robin Lorton of Higbee, MO and DeWayne (Darra) Kitchen of Wichita, KS; many, many nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. A memorial service celebrating Jack’s life will be held on Thursday, October 19, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at West Park United Methodist Church in Moberly, MO with private inurnment taking place at a later date. Visitation will be held at the church from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers family suggests memorial contributions to help with Jack’s final expenses.
