Jack Richardson went to be with the Lord December 27, 2016 at University Hospital, Columbia, MO. He was born March 13, 1936 in Macon County near Atlanta, MO. He graduated from Macon High School in 1953, and attended Central Christian College of the Bible where he met and then married Karen Westergaard on August 19, 1960. Jack worked in construction most of his life. He was a Project Foreman for Goodman Church Builders for 18 years, building churches and colleges in MO, IL, IN, PA, NE, and TN including buildings for Ozark Christian College, Johnson Bible College, CCCB, and Union Avenue Christian Church. He worked for Obe Construction, NEMO Coal, and Mid-Am of Moberly. His favorite pastime was hanging out with “the guys” at Hardee’s. Jack and Karen had 3 children: Alicia Copenhaver of Hannibal, MO, Scot and wife Elizabeth of New Hampshire, Ted and wife Jodie of Moberly, MO. Ten grandchildren – Ashley, Derek, Jordan, Tristan, Dylan, Carter, Courtney, Evan, Abby, and Aaron. Seven great grandchildren – Bryson, Haley, Payton, Quentin, Shelby, Rachael, and Liam. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen; parents, Loren and Laveta; brother, Leon, and granddaughter, Courtney. A memorial service celebrating Jack’s life will be held on Monday, January 2,2017 at 12:00 noon at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home (a building that Jack helped build). Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are appreciated to Timberlake Christian Church, 1624 Gratz Brown St., Moberly, MO 65270 and Central Christian College of the Bible, 911 E. Urbandale, Moberly, MO 65270.
