Jamie Bledsoe

Mar 28, 1978 — Aug 28, 2026

Moberly

Jamie Jo Bledsoe started running with Jesus on August 28, 2026, at the age of 48 with her family surrounding her in prayer.

Born March 28, 1978, Jamie was the lone survivor of a triplet birth as her sisters Elizabeth Noel and Stephanie Kay went to be with the Lord within a few days. Jamie was an absolute miracle and a fighter from day 1. She carried her sisters close in heart throughout her earthly journey. Jamie lived her life with the anticipation of a reunion in Heaven one day.

Jamie’s life was a testimony of how to love like Jesus. She was best known for how she encouraged others with cards and text, her spirited support of all things Duke basketball and her deep, unwavering love of her family, especially her ‘kids,’ the nephews and nieces. She loved her family so very well.

Jamie’s legacy of perseverance, encouraging spirit, bravery and courage to fight battles many will never face has created a ripple effect for generations to come. The number of cards sent for encouragement and birthdays is too numerous to count. Jamie saw people and made them feel loved. She had a constant smile and an infectious laugh. She remembered dates her entire life without a calendar. If Jamie knew someone needed prayer, she prayed for them.

Jamie was dealt many health battles throughout her life as a result of Cerebral Palsy. She endured a total of 27 surgeries and many come back moments. She defied odds and provided new case studies for medical papers. Jamie was known as the ‘bionic baby’ at birth. Her fighting spirit was fueled by her faith and love of Jesus. One of the many remarkable things about Jamie is that she never complained. Her resiliency was truly an encouragement to others. She chose to be better, not bitter.

Jamie volunteered at Moberly Regional Medical Center for 20 years. Her biggest accomplishments though were titles she held given by God; daughter, sister, Aunt, Great Aunt, friend, encourager, volunteer, cheerleader and avid sports fan. ‘Well done, good and faithful servant’ of Jesus was her biggest accomplishment.

She leaves behind to not grieve without hope, her mother and biggest advocate, Sandy Bledsoe; sisters and brothers-in law Amy and Todd Mackley, Rachael and Mark Ritter; nephew Tyler Ritter (Brittany); niece Megan King (Jameson); nieces Samantha & Maddie Mackley; great-niece Brooklynn Ritter and great-nephew Lincoln Ritter.

She was preceded in death by her father, Steve Bledsoe, and sisters Stephanie and Elizabeth. Many other family members, including her deepest connection to her grandpa, Laurence Bledsoe, also preceded her in death.

Please take from Jamie’s life to smile, to laugh often, to encourage and to love your family fiercely. Most important to love Jesus.

‘And now, dear brothers and sisters, we want you to know what will happen to the believers who have died so you will not grieve like people who have no hope.’ 1 Thessalonians 4:13
