Jerry Wayne Duncan, 70, of Higbee passed away on Monday, April 25, 2016 with family by his side. Jerry was born to Edward Arnold and Letha (Gravitt) Duncan on March 8, 1946 in Higbee, Missouri. He and Virginia Lea Stone were married in 1968 and were married for 38 years before she preceded him in death in 2006. He was a charter member of the Lion’s Club in Higbee, a Deacon, Board Member for Higbee Rural Housing, Alderman and former Higbee Mayor. Jerry was a caring and giving man and would do anything for anyone. Jerry also drove a school bus, worked as a dispatcher for the County, drove a milk truck and a coal truck during his career. Jerry was also preceded in death by his parents; step-father, Arnold Farris; and brother, Jerry Hocker. Survivors include daughters: Kristen Lea Duncan and wife Diane Marie of Moberly, and Elisa Duncan of Higbee; step-father, James Hocker of Moberly; brother, Thomas Hocker and wife Karen of Moberly; sisters: Denna Martin and husband Rocky of Moberly, Rebecca Hocker of Moberly, and Rhonda Hocker of Moberly; as well as several nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 28, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Higbee. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, April 29, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Bill Spilman officiating.
