Jerry Joe Wilson

Jerry Joe Wilson, age 79, of Moberly, MO passed away May 18, 2024, in Moberly, Missouri.

Joe was born on October 4, 1944, in Keokuk, Iowa, to Paul Wilson and Jewell (Caudill) Wilson. He graduated from Harmony High School. In 1978, he moved to Moberly, MO, and continued working with Orscheln Farm and Home where he worked for more than 40 years.

Joe married Marlene Stanley on March 6, 1965, in Hillsboro, Iowa. He was a member of the Timber Lake Christian Church.

Joe enjoyed camping, woodworking, tinkering, socializing, caring for the neighbors, most of all he enjoyed attending events of the children and 
 grandchildren. He also loved spending time with the family, family historian as in creating and updating family trees and playing cards. His family and friends will always remember him as a kind, helpful and generous person.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a niece. 

Joe is survived by his wife, Marlene of Moberly, MO; children; Mark (Beth) Wilson, of Moberly, MO, Sandra Elsberry of Lee’s Summit, MO, Alan (Carlie) Wilson, of Moberly, MO, grandchildren; Bret (Jenny) Wilson and children, Chip, Jack, Penny, Vivian and Millie; Blake (Alyssa) Wilson and child, Fletcher; Brooke Wilson; Sadie Barker and children, Alex, Jamie and Michael; Andrew (Tempe) Elsberry and children, Teddy and Arthur “Ozzie”; Parker (Casandra) Elsberry; Justin (Mariah) Wilson and children, Benedict and Opal; Molly Wilson and Josie Wilson, siblings; Juanita Bowman, Christie Reinier, Judy Newman, Roger Wilson and Tracy Wilson.

The family requests that any memorial contributions be made to The Living Water Christian Mission or Timber Lake Christian Church Missions Funds in Joe’s memory.
