March 24, 1962 — June 7, 2022

Joseph (Joe) Klopstein March 24, 1962 - June 7, 2022

Joseph (Joe) Klopstein of Gardner, Kansas passed into the Lord’s Kingdom on June 7, 2022, after more than 60 years of life in this world. Joe was born in the St. Louis area on March 24, 1962, to John and Jo Dean Klopstein and lived much of his early life in Hazelwood, MO before moving to Kansas with his wife of more than 20 years, Carla (England) Klopstein.

While growing up Joe was a great athlete and particularly skilled at playing baseball. As an adult he was skilled at many trades including bricklaying and carpentry, but ultimately followed his father’s footsteps as a professional freight hauler, also known to most as a truck driver.

After marrying his lifetime love Carla in 2001 and settling first in Wellsville, Kansas and then in Gardner, Kansas he helped Carla support and guide her son, Brad and became a Grandpa figure to her grandchildren, Nathan, Zander, Spencer and Zoey. He loved Carla’s parents and especially her sister Becky just as he did his own parents and siblings, JoAnn, Jan and John.

Joe especially loved riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and the great outdoors. As a lifelong hunter, bowhunter and fisherman he loved to pass his knowledge along to others. He spent his final days in the outdoors catching fish and watching whitetail deer pass by.

Joe is preceded in death by his Father John (Jack) Klopstein, Father In-Law Joe England, Mother In-Law Colleen Davis, Grandparents, Clyde and Hestel Market and John and Helen Klopstein.

He is survived by his loving wife Carla Klopstein, her Son Brad Jones, her Siblings, Rebecca Coatney, Scott (Wanda) England, Deidre England, Sandra Craig. Mother Jo Dean Klopstein, his Siblings, Jo Ann (Frank) Valenti, Janet (Mark) Gan, John (Susan) Klopstein, numerous Grandchildren, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews that absolutely loved him as well as so many great friends he made along his journey.

Ride safe, happy hunting and great fishing in the next chapter, Joe.
