Julia Leora Willard

Julia “Judy” (Hickam) Willard, 92, of Moberly passed away peacefully on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at The Bluffs in Columbia, Missouri. Judy was born to Lonnie and Mildred (Vaughan) Hickam on August 16, 1923 in Moniteau County, Missouri. She and Rev. W. Harold Willard were married on June 16, 1946 in Blevins, AR at the Marlbrook Presbyterian Church by Rev. Bob Nolan. Judy worked as an Administrative Assistant for Mid-Mo in their children’s ward for many years. She was a devout Christian woman, a great cook, a gardener, an animal lover, an artist, and loved her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. W. Harold Willard in 2002. Survivors include, son, Kenneth Harold (Nancy) Willard of Colorado Springs, CO; daughters: Belinda Jean Smith of Cheyenne, WY, and Becky (Ron) Dulany of Moberly, MO; grandchildren: Aimee Smith, Heather Smith, April Bowling, and Brian Dulany; great grandchildren: Aidan Smith, Ariel Smith, Alexandria (Lexi) Smith, Ryan Smith, Lauren Smith, and Robyn Chamberland. A visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Rev. Jay Self officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery. In lieu of customary remembrances, the family asks that memorial donations be made to Second Chance No Kill Animal Shelter, 24687 Hwy 179, Boonville, Missouri.
