Leland L. Langdon, 84 of Moberly, passed away peacefully at his home on August 26, 2020. Leland was born December 2, 1935 in Hayes, KS to Roy E. and Bessie Langdon. He served honorably in the United States Army from October 9, 1958 to October 5, 1960. On June 16, 1984 he was united in marriage to Ella Mae Drewery and she survives of the home. He is also survived by his children, Polly Rippel of Huntsville, MO and Sandra (Terry) Beets of Laramie, WY; grandchildren, John (Dannalee) Drewery, Zack Drewery, Isaac (Denei) Purdy, Matthew Barnes, Chad (Brooke) Rippel, Andrew Rippel; great grandchildren, Alex Rippel, Lanie Howe, Tarini Williams, Nadia Graham, Naisce Purdy, Carissa Barnes, Addison Barnes and Willow Barnes; several nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends. Those preceding him in death are his parents, Roy and Bessie Langdon; seven brothers, J.I. Langdon, Donald Langdon, Wayne Langdon, Eugene Langdon, Elbert Langdon, Edward Langdon, Ernest Langdon; his sister, Lorene Watts; brothers-in-law, James Drewery, Pete Drewery; sister-in-law, Pat Wolford; father-in-law, Harrison (Skyball) Drewery; mother-in-law, Blanche Drewery and several nieces and nephews. Leland was a member of The Pentecostal Church in Moberly. His hobbies included working on antique cars, going to car shows and spending time with his family. He always enjoyed the annual Midwest Old Threshers Reunion in Mt. Pleasant, IA. A private graveside service with full military honors will be held at the Missouri State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville. A memorial service will be held on Monday, August 31, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at The Pentecostal Church, 2197 Six Mile Lane, Moberly, MO 65270. Masks and social distancing are encouraged and appreciated. Memorial contributions in Leland’s honor are suggested to The Pentecostal Church c/o their outreach ministry, 2197 Six Mile Lane, Moberly, MO 65270.
