Lois Margaret Corderman, passed away peacefully at Mark Twain Assisted Living on Saturday, February 28, 2026. She lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication to her family and community.
Born on September 29, 1928, to Earl and Helena (Laatz) Cronk in Armstrong, Iowa. Lois graduated from Armstrong High School in 1946. Shortly after, she married Dale Corderman on September 1, 1946, in Ringsted, Iowa.
Known for her warm heart and generous spirit, Lois was always willing to help anyone in need. She was particularly beloved for her cooking skills, especially her delicious noodles, which became cherished memories for those fortunate enough to share a meal with her.
Part of her community involvement included being a proud member of Cairo Christian Church, where she actively participated and sang in the church choir, contributing her voice to the uplifting of spirits.
Lois had a wide array of hobbies that brought her joy, including sewing, cross-stitching, knitting, crocheting, gardening, and working on jigsaw puzzles. Each hobby reflected her creativity and her nurturing character.
She is survived by her devoted family, including her son Dennis (Mary) Corderman, of Madison, MO; daughters Dawn (Denny) Bradley, of Higbee, MO; Nancy (Johnny) Schumann, of Cairo, MO, and Karen Edwards, of Huntsville, MO; along with 14 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 9 great-great-grandchildren and sister, Marlene Hittesdorf of Gainsville, TX, that will carry on her legacy of love and kindness.
Lois is preceded in death by her son Michael Lynn Corderman, her parents, two brothers, her former husband and friend Dale Corderman, and her grandchild Michael Edgar Skaggs.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation on March 26, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM, followed by a memorial service from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Pathway Millard Family Funeral Chapel, located at 411 Union Ave, Moberly, MO 65270. Inurnment at Memorial Park Cemetery in Moberly, MO will follow services.
Memorial contributions in Lois's honor are appreciated to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.
