Mardella Sue Davis, 76, of Moberly, MO, passed away August 26th, 2019 at home surrounded by family. She was born February 14, 1943 to Margaret (Wheeler) and Robert Franklin Roberts. Mardella married Roy Davis, and to that union three children were born; two daughters, Marci and Diane and a son, Danny Joe. She was a fantastic homemaker and loved being a wife and mother. Mardella loved to stay physically and spiritually active, she took daily walks all over town as well as completing daily devotionals with her bible diary. She was a very active member of her church; she loved reading her church's weekly newsletter, and attending bible study. She was a member of Moberly Independent Holiness Church (formerly Church of the Nazarene) for close to 50 years. Mardella was always eager to lend a helping hand to family and friends. She also enjoyed helping care for neighborhood pets. Her family and friends will always remember her as a true follower in Christ. She was loving and kind hearted, and always put the needs of others first. Mardella is preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Hicks and Robert Roberts; her husband, Roy Davis; her son, Danny Joe Davis and her brothers, Charlie Roberts, Roger Roberts and Butch Roberts. She is survived by her daughters, Marci (Anthony) Dodd of Cairo, MO and Diane (Ray) Magruder of Frisco, TX; granddaughters, Tiffani Dodd of Moberly, MO, Tikki (David) Padilla of Garland, TX and Alexis Magruder, of Plano, TX; grandsons, Colby (Peyton) Dodd of Oak Grove, MO, and Branden Magruder of Frisco TX; great grandchildren, Parker Dodd and Max Dodd-Gravitt of Moberly, MO, and Cooper Padilla of Garland, TX; brothers, Robert (Loretta) Roberts of Lone Oak, TX and Richard Roberts of Tyler, TX; sisters, Gracie Martinez of Bryan, TX and Karen Hayes of St. Louis, MO; aunts and uncles, Charles (Marilyn) Wheeler and Francis Welch all of Columbia, MO and Delbert Wheeler of St. Louis; extended family and many good friends. Services celebrating Mardella’s life will be held Sunday, September 1, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 1, 2019 from 12:00 noon until the time of service. Memorial contributions in Mardella’s honor are appreciated to Cherith Brook Food Pantry, 339 N. Williams St., Moberly, MO 65270.
