Margaret Louise(Cook)Taylor

Margaret Louise (Cook) Taylor passed away on January 6, 2019, at Loch Haven Nursing Home. She was born on August 11, 1923, in Macon, Missouri. the daughter of the late Lawrence and Anna Mae Meatzs Cook. Margaret grew up in Macon County and attended Macon Schools. She married Bailey E. Taylor on June 25, 1941, in Macon, Missouri. Margaret was a stay at home mom and in later years worked at Montgomery Ward Store and as a cook at the Bradley School. Margaret loved the Lord and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Moberly. She was a member of the WMU and Quilters group and for many years was a teacher in the children's departments. One of Margaret's favorite Hymns was "When We All Get To Heaven" and one of her favorite scripture passages was 2 Corinthians 5. She was preceded in death by her husband Bailey of 55 years; sister, Maxine Ahlbon; and her son-in-law, Bob True. She is survived by her three children: Larry Taylor and wife Lynn of Moberly, Missouri, Donna True of Springfield, Missouri, Dan Taylor and wife Linda of Cairo, Missouri. Margaret is also survived by eight grandchildren: Todd Taylor of Moberly, Missouri, Cara (Taylor) Souder and Kelly (Taylor) Myers Columbia,Missouri, Lori(True) Fields of Springfield,Missouri, Greg Taylor, Kim (Taylor)Whorton of Cairo, Missouri, Ryan Taylor of Huntsville,Missouri, and Art Wheeler of St. Louis, Missouri; sixteen great-grandchildren; several great-great-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 10, 2019, from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m.at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly, Missouri. Pastor Bob Welsh will officiate.
