Marie Slater

Marie Slater 93 of Decatur, AL died May 24, 2011 at The Terrace in Priceville, AL. Marie was born November 19, 1917 in Washburn, Mo the daughter of Noah and Chloe Haggard. She married Geoge M. Slater of Moberly on June 28, 1941 who proceded her in death. Marie is also preceded in death by her brother, Ronald Haggard of Lamar, CO her sister Wilma Adams of Monroe City, MO and her brother N. J. Haggard of Jacksonville, AR. Marie and George lived in Moberly, where they were self-employed in various businesses until 1967, when they moved to Springfield, MO to enjoy retirement and were active members of Wesley Untied Methodist Church. They moved to Decatur, AL in 1997. Marie was a life long dancer, accomplished seamstress and gardener.
