Marilyn A Lorton

Marilyn A Lorton, 58, of Moberly passed away April 23, 2022 after a courageous battle with cancer. 

Marilyn was born on October 20, 1963 to David Lee Sartain and Sandra Lee Youll Sartain.  She was a 1982 graduate of Moberly High School and worked as a manager at Deter’s convenience store for many years.

Marilyn was outgoing and had a big personality.  She loved to dance, go mudding with her son, go country cruising with friends and family and spend time with her grandson.  She was a bright and bubbly woman who always took care of others and was considered as “mom” to many people besides just her children.  She will be missed by all who knew her.

Marilyn is preceded in death by her parents, David and Sandy Sartain and husband, Chad McCutchen.

She is survived by daughter, Callie McCutchen; her son, Christopher McCutchen and fiancé Karlee Hooper; beloved grandson, Lukis McCutchen all of Moberly; cousin, Jerry (Debby) Sartain of Cairo, who was like a brother to her when they were growing up; extended family and many, many good friends.

A memorial celebration of Marilyn’s life will be held on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. at the Moberly Moose Lodge.
