Mary E Hayes

Mary Elizabeth Hayes (Bartolacci), age 67, of Higbee, MO passed away on July 3, 2026. She was born on October 18, 1958, in Moberly, MO, to Corrado (Cracky) and Ione Bartolacci.

 Mary graduated from Higbee High School in 1976 and went on to further her education at Moberly Jr college where she earned her Associate's degree. Among her places of employment were Toastmaster, Moberly; Orscheln, Moberly; and AB Chance, Centralia. Mary had recently retired from Mack Hils Metal Fabrication, Moberly.

 Mary and Eddie Roy Hayes were married Feb. 14, 1976. Together, they shared a passion for camping, concerts and other outdoor activities.

She will be lovingly remembered for her sharp wit and humor, fondness for exploring garage sales, and deep dedication to family and friends.

 Mary is survived by her son, Marc (Charity Hayes), Higbee; her grandchildren, Daina Derboven, Florida; Alexandrea Derboven, Higbee; James Davidson, Moberly; and Corea Davidson, Moberly. Great-grandchildren are Jaelynn Hudson, Chevy Close, Finley Close, Jasper Close, all of Higbee; and John Davidson, Moberly. She is also survived by her siblings, Rebecca Bartolacci, Higbee; David Bartolacci (Kathy), Higbee; Patricia Bartolacci (Mike Jones), St. Louis; Sam Bartolacci, Moberly; and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband of 50 years, Ed Hayes.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 17, at 12:00 pm at Pathway-Millard Funeral Home, 411 Union Ave., Moberly, MO 65270. Visitation will precede the funeral from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm. Burial will follow at Higbee Cemetery. Following the service, family and friends are invited to attend a luncheon at The Higbee Lions Club.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to The American Cancer Society in Mary's memory.
