Michael L. Ames

Michael L. Ames, 68, of Moberly, Missouri, passed away on Tuesday, March 6, 2018 at Moberly Regional Medical Center. Michael was born to the late John and Albia Ames in Moberly, Missouri, on April 23, 1949. He and Rose Gravitt were married on September 15, 1964. Michael was retired from the City of Moberly where he worked for 38 years. He worked for the Sanitation department for 30 years and worked with the City Cemetery for 8 years. He loved watching Western movies. Michael was also preceded in death by his sisters: Alma Smith and Pat Martin. Survivors include his wife, Rose Ames of Moberly, Missouri; sons: Jeff Ames and wife Sara of Dubuque, Iowa and Larry Ames of Moberly, Missouri; daughter, Misty Fainter and husband Justin of Menden, Missouri; half brother, Terry Ames; several grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held on Friday, March 9, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at the Million Taylor Funeral Homes of Moberly. Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jason Neustaeter officiating.
