Michael Hugh Ridgway

October 5, 1950 — May 28, 2025

Clark

Michael Hugh Ridgway, age 74, of Clark MO, passed away on Wednesday, May 28,2025, at his home surrounded by family.

Mike was born on October 5, 1950, in Moberly MO to Keneth and Billie (Harrell) Ridgway. He graduated from Renick High School in 1968 and was united in marriage to Becky Sharp on November 20,1970. He was a dedicated husband to Becky for 54 years and together they raised two daughters, Teri and Toni.

Mike was a hardworking man who built a career as a tire salesman and driver. He retired from MFA Tire Division after 30 years. Within a short time, Mike was back to work for several years at Statewide Tire before retiring again.

He was a member of the Clark Christian Church where he was very involved and served as Elder and Chairman of the Board.

Mike was a strong, kind, loving, and supportive husband, father, and Papa. His knowledge and guidance were the foundation of his family. His family meant more to him than anything else in the world, something he often mentioned.

In addition to being a loving family man, Mike always had the ability to make anyone smile and enjoyed piddling outside. He tended to be known as a “homebody", thoroughly enjoying his farm and porch time with Becky. Throughout the years Mike and Becky traveled to many places, but he still thought the most beautiful view was seen from their porch.

Mike is survived by his wife, Becky; daughters, Teri (Chad) Barnes and Toni (Jason) Hatfield; eleven grandchildren, Evan, Brandon, Andrew, Mikel, Alexis, Nathan, Amery, Alaina, Addison, Ethan, Asher; two great grandchildren, Jase and Luka; siblings Steve (Mary) and Jan (Kent); brother-in-law, Vic (Linda); sister-in-law Judy (Charlie); step sisters-in-law, Teri (Buster) and Leigh (Art); several nieces and nephews, cousins, and many close friends.

He is proceeded in death by his son, John William Ridgway; parents, Keneth and Billie Ridgway; father and mother in-law, Earl Sharp and Mary (Sharp) Jennings ; stepfather in-law, Loyd Jennings; sister-in-law, Betty Ridgway; and grandparents.

Mike was a loyal friend to many. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him, and they will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

The family suggests memorials be made in Mike’s honor to the Clark Christian Church or Ellis Fischel Cancer Center.

Per Mike's wishes, a private memorial service will be held at a later date.
