Norma Esry

Norma Jean Esry, 83, of Moberly, passed away June 11, 2017 at University Hospital in Columbia, MO. Norma was born November 14, 1933 in Sutherland, NE to Robert Madison Albright and Margaret Bloomfield Albright. Her early years were spent in Colorado before her family moved to Rocheport when she was 13. She later relocated to Moberly and resided there for 64 years. On February 16, 1959, Norma married James William Esry in Renick, MO and together they raised 9 children. She was a wonderful mother and dedicated homemaker. Norma liked to crochet, do needle point and paint. She also enjoyed cards, playing games and loved to watch old movies. Norma is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her sisters, Shirley Gravitt, Gwen Small and Beverly Durham; sons, Donald Esry and Jamie Jennings, Sr.; son-in-law, Leslie Bunch and grandson, John Jennings. Survivors include her children, Helen (Robert Sr.) Howe, David (Alisa) Esry, Kenny (Landra) Esry all of Moberly, Carol (Larry Duncan) Esry of Excello, Lisa Bunch, Roger (Connie White) Gilliam, Deloris (Danny) Esry-Hess and Larry (Sharon) Esry all of Moberly; 32 beloved grandchildren and 47 precious great and 3 adorable great-great grandchildren; brother, Donald (Jeannette) Albright of Higbee; brothers-in-law, Leroy Small of Cairo and Wayne Durham of Moberly; extended family, close friends and her “baby” Shadow. Services celebrating Norma’s life will be held Sunday, June 18, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home with interment to follow at the Huntsville City Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
