Peggy Warren

d. May 15, 2019

Peggy Lynn Warren, 67, of Cairo, passed away at her home surrounded by her family on May 15, 2019. Peggy was born December 20, 1951 in Ohio to Ernest Tropp and Arlene Fields Tropp. She was a graduate of Waynesville High School. Her father was in the military and the family lived in several different places during her childhood, but she moved to Randolph County in 1977. Peggy worked at Moberly Cleaners for many years. After her retirement, she returned to work at Cairo Village Mart for the past three years and was still working until just a few weeks ago. Peggy liked sitting on her deck and watching hummingbirds. She enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren and more than anything, she loved playing with her great-grandchildren who were all her “favorites!” She said she loved their baby smell and their laughter and often said she needed to have her “baby fix”. She was preceded in death by her parents and grandparents. She is survived by her children, Tina (Adam Whearty) Deener of Jacksonville and Michele (Shane Hudson) Avery of Cairo; grandchildren, Spencer (Jesika) Caudill of Moberly, Logan (Brittnay Eads) Avery of Moberly, Kylee (Victor) Gregori of Cairo, Joseph (Cat Gaerditz) Avery of LaPlata and Grace (Skyler Frazer) Walker of Jacksonville; great grandchildren, Isabella, Anikka and Kayden; siblings, Ernest (Kathy) Tropp Jr. of Loomis, NE, Pamela Hemme of Rolla, MO, Penny (Dave) Suchocki of Scottdale, PA; five nieces and nephews and her forever sons, Kelly Walker and Travis Avery both of Moberly; extended family and friends. Visitation will be held Saturday May 18, 2019 from 11:30 until 1:00 at Pathway Memorial Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at Grand Prairie Cemetery in Cairo. Memorial contributions would be appreciated to the family to be used for purchasing food for families at the Missouri Cancer Associates in Columbia.
