It is with heavy hearts and profound gratitude for a life well-lived that we announce the peaceful passing of Raymond Jordan on June 17, 2026, in the loving presence of his family.

Born in the close-knit community of Boonville, Missouri, on December 30, 1943, Raymond's life was a tapestry woven with love, hard work, and humor, leaving an indelible mark on all who knew him. Raymond was the youngest son of the late William and Lucille Jordan and grew up alongside his siblings, Carl, Roberta Crutcher and Wane, also those siblings predeceased David, Edward, and Lonnie D.

He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Sandy, who stood by his side through life's every adventure. Together, they built a family filled with love and laughter, raising their son, Lonnie Jordan, and delighting in the joys of their three granddaughters: Becky Rosenboom, Nicole Bentley, and Erica Williamson, as well as five great-grandchildren who brought new light into his life.

Raymond's career as a union electrician was marked by dedication and excellence. He spent 46 years mastering his craft, beginning with Ace Electric and culminating a fulfilling career with Meyer Electric until his retirement in 2013. His commitment to his work was mirrored by his proud membership in the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers for over five decades.

Beyond his professional life, Raymond's heart truly belonged to the rural landscapes of his farm, where he found joy working with his John Deere tractors. His love for the land was accompanied by a passion for fishing and cherished moments spent with Sandy and their beloved fur babies.

He was a man of simple pleasures, always eager to share stories and farming wisdom with his country friends, enriching their lives with his humor and warmth. Raymond's legacy is one of laughter and love, with family stories abounding of his playful antics and the joy he spread. In remembering him, we find comfort in these memories, knowing his spirit lives on in the laughter of his grandchildren and the stories that will be passed down for generations.

A private funeral ceremony will be held to honor Raymond's life, in keeping with the family's wishes. In lieu of flowers, donations in Raymond's memory may be made to St. Jude's or to your local animal shelter, reflecting his love for children and animals alike.

The family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the staff at Monroe Manor Cottage for their exceptional care and friendship, which provided comfort during Raymond's final days. We are deeply appreciative of the prayers, support, and kindness shown by friends and family during this difficult time. Your presence and love have been a source of strength and solace. Thank you for standing with us as we celebrate the life of Raymond Jordan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
