Raymond Michael Stone

Raymond Michael Stone, age 77, of Moberly, MO, passed away surrounded by family on November 29, 2022, at his home.

Raymond was born on June 13, 1945, in Moberly, MO, to Ralph and Mary (Ness) Stone. He was a member of the Higbee Baptist Church.

Raymond married Joann on October 10, 1969, in Moberly, MO. He loved God and his family, and especially his grand and great grandchildren. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golf, watching boxing, the St. Louis Cardinals, and the Kansas City Chiefs. His family and friends will always remember his as a loving family man, and a prankster. His dog, Harley, was his very best friend.

He was preceded in death by his father Ralph (Margaret) Stone; mother, Mary Marie (Ted) Milroy; sister, LaVaun (Russel) White; brothers, John Bill (Mary Sue) Stone, Ralph Benton (Doris) Stone, Gerald Stone, David Stone, and Eugene Stone; and his mother-in-law, Betty Cook.

Raymond is survived by his wife, Joann (Murray) Stone; son, John (Debbie) Minor, Higbee, MO; daughters, Dee Stone (Jeff Hoffman), Moberly, MO, McKensie (Jim) Johnson, Higbee, MO; grandchildren, Kenya Sumpter (Nathan Gravitt), Kalynn Starks, Zach Minor, Michael Sumpter, all of Moberly, MO, Julie Johnson and Emma Johnson, Higbee, MO, Jessica Wilkinson, Huntsville, MO and Jennifer Woodson, Higbee, MO; 10 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandchild; a special nephew and niece, Charlette and Gary (Dick) Colston and extended family and many close friends.

A Celebration of life has been scheduled for Saturday, December 3, 2022, at 11:00 am, at Immanuel Baptist Church, Moberly, MO, followed by a dinner for all family and friends to join.
